Welcome to All Saints' Walsoken Church's Webpage

We are a working Parish Church which has been a centre of worship since 1146. Situated exactly one mile from the centre of Wisbech, the church has been described as 'The grandest Norman parish church in Norfolk'.  We seek to serve the community and each other in a loving and compassionate manner. Placing the Church at the Centre of the CommunityVisitors are always warmly welcome at any time during the week and, of course, to our Sunday Worship. We hope you will visit us and enjoy your visit.  If you come and join with us at any of our Sunday Services, please do especially make yourself known and stay on for a cup of tea after the service.  Men, women and children from Walsoken and other villages have found and worshipped God in this building since its foundation in 1146. It is a place where you, too, can find faith, joy and peace.  Many generations, including our own, have cared for this building that it may be an inspiration to all. Feel at home in it, - don't hurry - and try to find time to consider Jesus Christ without whom, for all its age and beauty, it is nothing. May His Spirit fill you with God's love.  Please feel free to take any of the many helpful leaflets provided in the rack on the information table near the door where you entered the building..What we offer
  • Christian fellowship.
  • Bible study.
  • Worship.
  • History.
  • Guidance.

Our Belief at All Saints' Church, Walsoken. We believe that the man Jesus of Nazareth, who lived in Palestine 2000 years ago, was indeed God in human form, sent to earth by His Father to live as a man amongst us. He was sent to teach the truth about God and to die on the Cross.  His death was totally unique in all of human history.  Jesus was without sin and those who actively believe in Him, will be forgiven their own sin and be granted eternal life.Although Jesus died, He rose again from the dead after three days and appeared to His disciples as testimony to the truth of His claims and His teaching.  He has promised that all, who accept His authority over their lives, will be raised again from the dead, just as He also rose again.Throughout His earthly life Jesus performed many miracles and healed many people and showed us what God is really like.  Those who were actually there and were eyewitnesses to these events, recorded their experiences in writing. These documents were kept by the church and over time became our New Testament.  We believe that the Bible contains all necessary information to know the truth about God, His Son Jesus Christ and the way of salvation.Belief in Christ means a life of active discipleship, and being a regular member of a local worshipping community.  That community is the church, the Christian family which all believers are called to be active members of and we welcome anyone in His name.
